It is difficult for children to walk into a class in full swing and they may miss work that they really enjoy.<\/li>\n<li>Also, students that arrive late, take teachers\u2019 attention from work they are doing with other children.<\/li>\n<li>Please help your child develop lifelong habits of promptness. Please make lateness a rare occurrence.<\/li>\n<li>Please include all authorized pick up individuals in your child&#8217;s Registration Form and make sure to inform the office of any changes immediately.<\/li>\n<li>We will not let your child go home with anyone that is not authorized to pick up.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Strollers &amp; Scooters<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>All strollers\/ scooters must be folded and hung on the orange hooks by the front door<\/li>\n<li>Large strollers\/ bikes that do not fold will be given a bike lock to be locked outside<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Snacks<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Snacks (goldfish, cheerios, cheezeit mix) and water are provided in all of our classes. Parents can send in an additional snack with their child if they wish.<\/li>\n<li>Please note: there are NO NUT\/ PEANUTS and SESAME OIL products allowed in our school.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Birthdays<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Birthdays are special at Brainy Academy and parents are encouraged to celebrate with their child\u2019s class.<\/li>\n<li>Please schedule the celebration date with the teacher and discuss special treats and dietary restrictions with them.<\/li>\n<li>We also ask that you bring in a photograph from each year of your child\u2019s life which we can share with the class during the celebration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>llness<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A child who has had fever, diarrhea or vomiting within the past twenty-four hours may not come to school.<\/li>\n<li>Children must be fever-free without fever-reducing medication when they return.<\/li>\n<li>Children who are cranky, fatigued, are sneezing and\/or coughing or have thick and heavily running mucus should also stay home.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Severe Weather Conditions<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Brainy Academy will be closed if NYC Public Schools are closed due to severe weather conditions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Parents please note: only children that separate well will be admitted into the class.
